ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose men's lacrosse team fell to visiting #1 Le Moyne 17-8 this afternoon.The top-ranked Dolphins (11-0/7-0 NE10) used a 8-2 first half run to take control of the
Northeast-10 Conference contest.
The Golden Knights (4-7/3-4 NE10) took an early lead when junior attack
Carter Badour scored twice in the opening 2:55. Le Moyne turned the tide by tallying the next five goals of the Upstate Challenge game. Saint Rose was unable to get any closer than four in the final 30 minutes.
Badour led the Golden Knights with three goals, while freshman attack
Jack Pemrick netted a pair. The eight goals scored by Saint Rose matched the most a team has totaled against the nation's top defense thus far.
Senior midfielder
Matt Graham added a goal and an assist to move within 10 points of passing Kevin Fleming '15 for most in program history. The Saint Rose co-captain and career goal scoring leader now has 122 career points.
Junior midfielder Dan Entenmann and freshman attack Devin Andrews topped Le Moyne with six points (three goals and three assists) apiece. Senior attack Justin Kesselring added three goals and two assists.
NE10 play continues on Saturday. The Golden Knights head to Worcester, Mass. to face Assumption, while Le Moyne hosts #5 Adelphi.
