Karissa Birthwright had 17 points as The College of Saint Rose women's basketball team fell 70-58 to visiting New Haven in
Northeast-10 Conference action this afternoon. The Golden Knights co-captain went 8-of-13 from the field and grabbed six rebounds.

Nina Fedullo added seven points apiece for Saint Rose (9-14/7-10 NE10).
Junior guard Alexandria Kerr led all scorers with 33 points on 12-of-22 shooting. Kerr, who totaled 19 of her points in the first half, also secured six rebounds. The Chargers (9-14/7-10 NE10) received 15 points from freshman guard Brie Pergola.
New Haven scored the first nine points of the game en route to holding a 29-25 lead at the break. After the Golden Knights battled to tie the game at 37 with 2:51 remaining in the third period, the visitors scored 14 of the next 20 points to go up 11, 54-43, with 6:58 remaining. Saint Rose was unable to get closer than nine from there.
Both teams are in action next week. The Golden Knights will head to Springfield, Mass. to face American International on Wednesday at 5:30 pm, while New Haven has a non-conference tilt at Bloomfield on Monday night.
Pink Zone Game: Today was the Golden Knights annual Pink Zone game. To that end, the College donated a portion of the gate receipts to Camp Bravehearts, an oncology camp for women that was co-founded by Saint Rose head coach
Karen Haag.
