Connor Moore recorded two points each but The College of Saint Rose lost 14-4 to No. 8 Mercyhurst.
The Lakers (3-1), who raced out to an 8-1 halftime lead, got started early when senior attack James Crowe scored just 59 seconds in. Crowe then put one past sophomore goalie
Liam Guiton less than five minutes later to give the hosts a 2-0 lead.
With 13:27 left in the second quarter, Moore made it a one-goal contest. But Mercyhurst began an eight-goal run just nine seconds later.
Graham scored twice and
Evan Doherty once in the second half for Saint Rose (0-3).
Sophomore midfielder
Nicolas Johnson won 8-of-15 face-offs and Guiton finished with 10 saves for the Golden Knights.
Crowe, senior attack Keyan McQueen, and sophomore midfielder Kurtis Woodland topped Mercyhurst with four points each.
Saint Rose will host No. 10 Adelphi in its home opener on Saturday. The Northeast-10 Conference contest will begin at 12:00 pm.
