GOLDEN KNIGHTS TAKEN DOWN BY NO. 20 SAINT ANSELM, 16-12

TRIO HAS FOUR POINTS


MANCHESTER, N.H.– A trio from The College of Saint Rose  recorded four points each in the Golden Knights' 16-12 Northeast-10 Conference setback at No. 20 Saint Anselm this afternoon.

Sophomore attack Carter Badour  and junior midfielder Matt Graham fired home four goals each, while freshman attack Jordyn Marchiano totaled a goal and three assists.

The Hawks (3-1/2-0 NE10), which outscored Saint Rose 10-5 after intermission, were led by senior attack James Olsen, who had seven points on four goals and three assists. 

Freshman midfielder Jacob Testa scored his first two collegiate goals for the Golden Knights (1-5/0-2 NE10). Sophomore midfielder Nicolas Johnson and junior midfielder Lucas Frese continued their strong work on face-offs this afternoon, winning 19-of-29 chances for Saint Rose.

In goal, sophomore Liam Guiton made 16 saves and caused a team-high two turnovers.

Looking ahead, both teams have NE10 games on Tuesday. The Golden Knights visit No. 1 Le Moyne for the Upstate Challenge game at 4pm in Syracuse. Meanwhile, Saint Anselm travels to Franklin Pierce for a 3:30 pm contest in Rindge, N.H.
