ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose defeated New Haven in game one, 4-1, and fell 6-1 in the nightcap of a
Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Cathy Haker Field. Prior to first pitch, the Golden Knights honored their seven seniors.

The Saint Rose (12-26/6-14 NE-10) seniors came out of the gates strong, as shortstop
Danielle Brusca and right fielder
Tina Karaqi both drove in runs in the home half of the first inning to go ahead 2-0. The Golden Knights tacked on two more in the third on a Karaqi single to right field.

As a collective, the four senior hitters went a combined 8-for-11 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Senior pitcher
Nicole Wickham struck out six batters and walked none in a complete-game effort to cap the impressive showing by the graduating class.

Sophomore third baseman
Jadyn Costello smacked an RBI triple in the fourth inning of game two to cut the New Haven (23-13/12-10 NE-10) lead to 2-1. However, the Chargers responded with three runs in the following frame and added another in the seventh to secure the lead.

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights will play their final game of the season on Sunday, April 24 at 1 p.m. against New Haven at Cathy Haker Field.
