TROY, NY–The College of Saint Rose dropped both ends of today's dual meet versus Bentley on the RPI campus as the Falcons took the women's competition 163-120 and captured the men's portion 193-101.
 
Senior 
Elie McRae won three individual events and was part of the men's victorious 200-yard medley relay quartet. Senior 
Shannon Walsh won the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, while junior 
Gabriana Beckford touched first in the 200 freestyle and anchored the winning 400 free relay team to spearhead the women's effort.
 
McRae won the 100 and 200 breaststrokes in 58.93 and 2:09.13, and swam a winning 2:01.11 time for the 200 individual medley. He also handled the second leg of the relay that finished in 1:38.27. Sophomore 
Carl Nico Laborera and freshman 
Charles Nicholas swam the first and third legs respectively, while sophomore 
Piotr Czajkowski anchored the effort.
 
Czajkowski also won the 200 free in 1:48.24, while sophomore 
Trevor Attile took first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 52.71.
 
For the women, Walsh won the 100 and 200 in 1:08.97 and 2:28.03, while Beckford swam a 2:01.28 for the 200 free.
 
She was then preceded in the water for the 400 free relay by senior 
Rachel Leombruno, junior 
Jessica McMillen, and senior 
Catherine Fournier.
 
Looking ahead, Saint Rose travels to 
Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne on Saturday, November 19. The meet is scheduled to get underway at 1:00 pm. Meanwhile, Bentley heads to Bristol, RI to face Roger Williams this Friday at 5:00 pm.
