ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose used a 32-8 advantage in the paint on Monday evening to fend off visiting Concordia (N.Y.), 64-49, in its final non-league game of the season.

Saint Rose (12-5) manufactured a rebounding advantage for the seventh time in its last eight games with a 43-34 edge over the Clippers (3-12).

Concordia got off to a strong start, connecting on 6 of its first 11 shots from the field including three 3-pointers. Following their hot start, the Clippers finished the opening half shooting 3-for-17 (17.6 percent).

Despite trailing by one after the first period, the Golden Knights took advantage of the cold shooting streak from the visitors and racked up an insurmountable 16-point lead entering the final stanza. Saint Rose also scored 19 points off of 14 Concordia turnovers.

Junior guard
Taylor Nazon scored a game-high 15 points and pulled down four boards, while junior forward
Staci Barrett shot 5-for-10, scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Sophomore guard
Britani Stowe scored 11 points and dished out six assists without committing a turnover. Freshman forward
Karissa Birthwright finished with eight points and seven rebounds.

Senior forward
Sarah Illingworth amassed nine boards, five points and two assists, while senior guard
Keyontae Williams recorded eight points and three steals.

For the Clippers, sophomore forward Hadiyah Black totaled 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.
