Northeast-10 Conference win from Cathy Cummings Haker Field.

Kari Bird stepped to the plate with junior
Tina Karaqi on first and freshman
Taylor Solomon at second, ripping a RBI single to center. Solomon scored and Karaqi moved to second. Junior
Taylor Snyder stepped to the plate next, and was hit by a pitch loading up the bases with two outs. Senior
Marisa Bird was called next, but ended the game on a groundout to second.

The Golden Knights jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first as Bird (Kari) laid down her first hit of the game, a deep RBI single to left with two runners on.

The Owls (12-12, 6-5) tied the game up in the third off a RBI double from sophomore Giuliana D'Arcangelo and a RBI sacrifice fly from junior Leanna Feerick.

SCSU kept momentum going in the fifth, capitalizing on a pair of errors from Saint Rose, to take a 4-2 lead.

In the sixth, Snyder stepped to the plate with runners on second and third. Snyder went 0-2 in the count, but eventually reached on a throwing error from shortstop Nicole Buch, allowing one run to score. The Golden Knights tied it up on the next at-bat with a lineout to short from Bird (Marisa). Buch attempted to catch Snyder with a big lead at first, but committed a throwing error and gave the runner at third time to scoot home.

The Owls regained the lead in the seventh, starting with a RBI double to left from D'Arcangelo. The Brookfield, Conn., native was able to score on the next play as Feerick reached on a throwing error from Brusca.

Senior
Ashlee Frazier (3-3) suffered the loss in the circle after entering for junior
Nicole Wickham in the fifth. Frazier gave up three runs, only one of them earned, while fanning three batters.

Bird (Kari) led from the plate with a 2-for-3 performance and three RBI, followed by DuBois and Brusca at 2-for-4, and 1-for-2, respectively.

Saint Rose returns to the diamond on Saturday for its final regular season home games, and to celebrate senior day, starting at 12:30 pm against SCSU.
