ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose put four players in double-figures and shot better than 50.0 percent from the floor for the fourth straight game to upend visiting
Northeast-10 Conference rival and defending national champion Bentley 79-67 tonight.

Junior guard
Keyontae Williams paced the Golden Knights (9-10/5-8 NE-10) with a season-high 19 points. She also pulled down five rebounds and handed out three assists. Also, junior guard
Taylor Nazon tossed in a season-best 14 points in 24 minutes off the bench, while senior guards
Jamie Hutcheson and
Gabie Polce added a dozen each. Hutcheson also contributed eight boards and five assists, while Polce had seven helpers.

Saint Rose closed the final seven minutes of the first half on an 18-5 run that transformed a 25-24 lead into a 14 point, 43-29, advantage at the break. The Golden Knights shot 56.7 percent (17-for-30) from the floor and turned 12 Bentley turnovers into a like number of points.

The Falcons (7-12/2-11 NE-10) crawled back to within four, 47-43, in the opening five minutes of the second half, but the Golden Knights countered with an 11-2 spurt that put them in control for good, 58-45, with 11:51 to go. Saint Rose eventually increased its lead to as much as 19 points on two occasions.

For Bentley, sophomore forward Jen Gemma led all scorers with 22 points. Senior guard Kelsey Mattice and sophomore forward Brittany Gregory wound up with 15 and 13 respectively, while freshman guard Lauren Green added 10.

Looking ahead, both teams are back in action with 1:30 pm games this Saturday, January 31. The Golden Knights will head to Easton, MA to face Stonehill, while the Falcons will host Pace University in Waltham, MA.
