Northeast-10 Conference action tonight at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.

Freshman forward
Jalaun Taylor scored 26 points, one shy of his season high, and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Golden Knights (5-15/3-10 NE-10). Also, freshman center
Sam Eckstrom went 8-for-13 from the floor to finish with a season-best 19 points in 23 minutes off the bench.

After Taylor opened the second half with a 3-pointer that got Saint Rose to within a bucket, 40-38, the Falcons (12-7/7-6 NE-10) took off on an 18-4 run to take a commanding 16 point, 58-42, lead with 13:45 to go. The Golden Knights twice got to within 11 with the last time coming at the 4:55 mark following a Taylor jumper. However, Bentley reeled off eight straight points within the next two minutes to remove little doubt about the eventual outcome.

Senior guard Keegan Hyland and junior forward Tyler McFarland each poured in 25 points to lead the Falcons who have now four of their last six.

Looking ahead, both teams are back in action with 3:30 pm games this Saturday, January 31. The Golden Knights will head to Easton, MA to face Stonehill, while the Falcons will host Pace University in Waltham, MA.
At halftime of tonight's game, 128 Saint Rose student-athletes and seven teams were recognized for academic excellence. All of the honorees, who comprise 44.1 percent of the College's student-athlete demographic, have maintained at least a 3.30 grade-point-average (4.00 scale) throughout their athletic careers. All seven teams, meanwhile, were honored by their national coaching organizations for superior academic performance within the past year.
