SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – A massive season-best 45 points in the first half, and double-digit figures from seniors Jamie Hutcheson and Mariah Lesure, snapped a four-game losing streak for the The College of Saint Rose women's basketball team as it cruised past Post University 83-36 Sunday afternoon in the closing game of the American International Holiday Classic at Henry A. Butova Gymnasium.

The Golden Knights (4-7) shot 51.5 percent (34-for-66) from the floor, and held Post (3-8) to just 20.7 percent (12-58).

Lesure racked up 16 points, followed by Hutcheson with 14 to lead Saint Rose. Hutcheson's team-high 17 boards tie her season-high, while junior forward Kelsey Glanzman chipped in 10, and led the team with five assists.

Following the 13-6 mark, Saint Rose dished out an 8-0 run, and then a 15-0 spurt to hold a 36-12 margin over the Eagles with just 5:44 remaining in the first half. The Golden Knights knocked down nine more points before the break, and held Post to 20.0 percent shooting.

The Golden Knights continued to build their lead into the second half, and used an 11-3 run to go up by 36 with 9:41 left. Saint Rose kept pushing the Eagles, and laid down 9-0 and 14-4 marks to close out the game. The Golden Knights posted their highest lead of the game at the final buzzer with a 46-point advantage.

Saint Rose returns to the floor and Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday, January 3 at AIC for a 1:30 pm tip-off, and hosts Franklin Pierce the following week on January 10, also at 1:30, at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.
