GOLDEN KNIGHTS SUFFER SETBACK AT SEVENTH-RANKED IUP

INDIANA, PA-Host seventh ranked Indiana University of Pennsylvania outscored The College of Saint Rose 18-5 throughout the final six minutes to upend the Golden Knights 64-47 during the final day of action at this weekend's IRMC/Urgicare Classic.
 
The Crimson Hawks (7-0) turned 20 Saint Rose turnovers into 20 points and came up with nine steals.
 
Freshman forward Jalaun Taylor had 14 points and seven rebounds, while fellow freshman forward Jack Jones added 10 points for Saint Rose. Furthermore, junior forward Chris Dorgler tied his career-high of seven assists to go along with six points and a like number of boards.
 
Senior guard Devante Chance finished with 13 points, eight assists and four steals to lead Indiana (PA), which kept its unblemished record intact.
 
It was a one possession game throughout most of the first half as Saint Rose walked into the locker room down by five, 29-24, at the break. The Golden Knights led by a point, 33-32, in the opening five minutes of the second stanza after Jones completed a three-point play and were within a bucket on six ensuing occasions, until the Crimson Hawks took off on their final push.
 
Looking ahead, both teams have 7:30 pm league home dates this Wednesday, December 3. The Golden Knights will welcome defending Northeast-10 Conference champion Southern Connecticut State to the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The game may be viewed live on www.gogoldenknights.tv.
