GOLDEN KNIGHTS TAKE NE-10 OPENER AT PACE

PLEASANTVILLE, NY-The College of Saint Rose scored the game's first 12 points and never looked back en route to a 54-26 victory at Pace University in its Northeast-10 Conference opener tonight. The Golden Knights (2-1/1-1 NE-10), who had nine players see at least 11 minutes of playing time, held the Setters to 21.1 percent (8-for-38) shooting from the floor and turned 21 turnovers into 24 points.
 
Senior guard Jamie Hutcheson recorded a double-double behind 12 points and 14 rebounds, to go along with four assists, while senior center Mariah Lesure finished with 10 points to lead Saint Rose. Furthermore, sophomore guard Taylor Nazon added eights points and four boards in 16 minutes off the bench.
 
Freshman guard Gabriella Rubin led Pace (0-3/0-1 NE-10) with 10 points.
 
Up next, the Golden Knights are back on the road Saturday, November 22, with a 1:00 pm NE-10 game at Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne in Syracuse. Tip-off is set for 1:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Setters will host NE-10 foe New Haven on Saturday at 1:30 pm.
