SAINT ROSE FALLS AT PHILADELPHIA

PHILADELPHHIA-Host Philadelphia University used an 8-0 run late in the second half to upend The College of Saint Rose 60-50 today. The Golden Knights (1-1) were within single digits most of the game, but the surge allowed the Rams (2-0) to come out on top.
 
Senior guard Jamie Hutcheson and junior guard Tyler Hansen scored 12 and 10 respectively and dished out four assists apiece to lead Saint Rose. Also, sophomore forward Staci Barrett tossed in eight points and pulled six rebounds.
 
Meanwhile, junior forward Mary Newell scored 16 points in 20 minutes off the bench to lead Philadelphia (2-0).
 
Up next, the Golden Knights will play their Northeast-10 Conference opener this Wednesday, November 19, at Pace University. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm.
