Last Time Out:Saint Rose held visiting Franklin Pierce to 20.0 percent (6-for-30) shooting in the second period to overcome an eight point deficit en route to a 68-59 victory Saturdday afternoon. The Golden Knights also shot a season-high 83.9 percent (26-for-31) from the foul line and got 39 points from their bench.  Sophomore center Mariah Lesure recorded her second “double-double” of the year, finishing with a career-high 23 points, on 9-for-11 shooting from the floor, and 11 rebounds throughout 26 minutes of reserve duty.

Last Meeting (11/12/12): Saint Rose was unable to hold onto a 12 point halftime lead in a 71-67 setback at Le Moyne. The Dolphins shot 58.3 percent (14-for-24) from the floor in the second half and turned 21 Saint Rose turnovers into 23 points throughout the evening.  Freshman guard Tyler Hansen tossed in a game-high 23 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the arc to lead the Golden Knights. Sophomore guard Alex Marple scored 17 points while sophomore forward Emily Greer and senior guard Torie Lee added 12 each to guide the Dolphins.

The Series (Saint Rose 14-12) Prior to this season's 71-67 loss at Le Moyne on Tuesday, November 12, the Golden Knights had won the previous eight contests against the Dolphins.  That streak has afforded Saint Rose a 14-12 series lead.

Scouting Saint Rose (7-12/4-11 NE-10): The Golden Knights have held opponents to a 37.4 shooting percentage this season, fifth best in the NE-10.  Saint Rose ranks first in the league with 4.4 blocks per-game.  Lesure is fourth in the conference with a 53.2 shooting percentage.

Scouting Le Moyne (5-14/3-12 NE-10) The Dolphins are one of two teams in the league without a player averaging double-digit scoring.  Le Moyne is tied for the fewest turnovers, 16.1 per-game, in the NE-10.  The Dolphins have 10 players averaging at least 10 minutes per-game.

Sports Bingo: Sports Bingo returns tonight. The first 150 to sign up are eligible. Sports Bingo combines the simplicity of bingo along with the sophistication that no two cards are alike. Thus, competitors are not only able to enjoy the experience, but will learn more about the game of basketball itself. There are 24 basketball events on each playing card; the center spot is free, that each competitor must mark off as they occur throughout the game. The first competitor to get bingo wins and is thus eligible for prizes.

Upstate Challenge: The second annual “Upstate Challenge” resumes tonight between Saint Rose and Le Moyne. The “Upstate Challenge” is a rivalry series that utilizes a system that awards one point to the sports program that wins the season series. If a sports team competes only once during the regular season, the winner of the single game is awarded one point. In the case where teams compete multiple times during the regular season, a point is awarded to the team winning the overall series. When a series is split, one half-point is awarded. When teams only meet during the NE-10 Championship, the team with the highest finish is awarded one point. Collectively, the two institutions that have numerous commonalities will square off in 14 sports in which they compete head-to-head in the regular season or during the NE-10 Championship. The winner of the series will be awarded the “Upstate Challenge” trophy for the 2012-13 academic year. Saint Rose, which won last year's inaugural challenge, currently owns a 5.5 points - 3.5 points lead in this year's competition.

Athletics Recognition Night: Several Saint Rose student-athletes will be recognized at halftime of tonight's men's game in recognition of our their outstanding athletic performances throughout the previous year.

Up Next: Both teams have 1:30 pm conference dates on tap for Saturday. The Golden Knights will meet Southern Connecticut State in New Haven, while the Dolphins will entertain Assumption in Syracuse.
