Northeast-10 Conference victory at Southern Connecticut State this evening.

Senior guard
Desiree Simmons scored a game-high 19 points and came up with five steals while sophomore guard
Nicole Bini added 13 points. Junior guard
Gabie Polce finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Freshman forward
Staci Barrett contributed 10 points and eight rebounds for Saint Rose (5-4/2-3 NE-10).

The Owls (4-3/1-2 NE-10) also had four players in double-digits in the scoring column. Senior forward Keshia Primo led the group with 18 points and six rebounds while sophomore forward Jackie Beathea came off the bench to record 13 points and eight rebounds.

After falling behind 7-0 to start the game, the Golden Knights ran off a 25-4 spurt that Bini capped by scoring the last seven points in less than a minute. Saint Rose entered the halftime break with a 44-31 advantage as Bini posted 13 points behind 3-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc.

Southern Connecticut cut the Saint Rose lead to five points at 53-48 nearly six minutes into the second half on a Primo 3-pointer. An 11-2 run by the Golden Knights that was concluded with a layup by sophomore forward
Sarah Illingworth with 10 minutes remaining, increased the lead to 14 points.

Saint Rose enjoyed a lead as large as 19 points during the second half en route to the win. The Golden Knights managed 34 points off of 26 Southern Connecticut turnovers and benefitted from 19 second chance points due to a 42-29 rebounding advantage.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns home on Saturday, December 14 when conference rival American International arrives fro a 1:30 pm tip-ff. Meanwhile, Southern Connecticut travels to the Yellow Jackets this Saturday for a 1:30 pm league date in Springfield, MA.
