Mariah Lesure led the Golden Knights (0-1) with 18 points, nine blocks, and six rebounds. Senior guard

Gabie Polce each finished with 14 points. Simmons added seven rebounds and three steals. Saint Rose converted 24-of-34 from the charity stripe.

Junior guard Brianne Traub posted a game-high 22 points to go along with five rebounds for the Devils (1-0). Junior guard Jessica Sylvester finished with 18 points behind four, 3-pointers while freshman forward Camille McPherson added 15 points and eight rebounds.

University of the Sciences ownded a 28-26 halftime lead behind a 4-of-10 performance from beyond the arc. McPherson led the effort with eight points and six rebounds, including two, 3-pointers. Freshman forward
Staci Barrett came off the bench to grab seven seven rebounds and put in six points. Junior guard
Jamie Hutcheson also hauled in seven boards.

Saint Rose held a two-point advantage at 68-66, but Traub knocked down a three-pointer to give the Devils a one-point lead with eight seconds remaining. Lesure then had a layup from the post rim out as time expired at the other end.

Both teams continue play tomorrow at the USciences Mixer as the Golden Knights face Goldey-Beacom at 1:00 pm while the host Devils face Franklin Pierce at 3:00 pm.
