The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes Southern Connecticut State for a
Northeast-10 Conference encounter this afternoon. The Golden Knights are looking to capture their first conference victory while the Owls are aiming for victory number two.
Last Time Out: LIU Post outscored Saint Rose 12-6 in overtime to hand the Golden Knights a 77-71 non-conference setback on Wednesday at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The game was close throughout with 13 ties and a like number of lead changes, but the Golden Knights were outscored 17-10 at the foul line and outrebounded 29-17 on the offensive glass that allowed the Pioneers to manufacture 20, second chance points.
Last Meeting | Southern Conn. 64-60 OT (2/26/12 at Southern Connecticut State): Southern Connecticut State rallied from a 45-39 deficit with 6:22 remaining to hand Saint Rose a 64-60 overtime defeat in aN NE-10 Championship quarterfinal game at the James A. Moore Fieldhouse. The seventh-seed Golden Knights shot an uncharacteristic 59.3 percent (16-for-27) from the free throw line, nearly 17 points below their 76.7 percentage entering the game, and were outrebounded 58-49 that helped the Owls offset their 2-for-26 shooting effort from the arc.

Nicole Bini is second in the league with 24 3-pointers made. Senior forward
Maria Sanchez Gonzalez remains fifth in the conference behind 9.4 boards a game.
Scouting Southern Connecticut State | 4-5/1-5 NE-10: The Owls are third in the league with 11.1 steals per-game. Freshman forward Jackie Beathea ranks in the NE-10 top individuals for both scoring and rebounding. Senior Camille Fantini is tied for third in the conference with 3.2 steals per-contest.
