Professors' emeriti Sr. Agnes Rose Burton, CSJ and Sr. Tess Wysolmerski, CSJ, probably hold the record for the number of Saint Rose athletics events attended. In more than 40 years as faculty, these two Sisters of St. Joseph have demonstrated unwavering support of the Saint Rose athletics program and individual student-athletes. In addition to attending the home games of various Saint Rose teams, they have provided social, academic, and professional guidance to countless student-athletes and staff. When current and former student-athletes talk about "the nuns," they mention the annual "Father Time" parties during holiday and semester breaks, the countless hours spent with them on graduate school applications, and their genuine interest and encouragement in and outside the classroom.
Eli Armstrong was one of the most gifted players to don a Saint Rose uniform during its pioneering years. He was the first player in school annals to record 1,500 points and still stands ninth all-time in scoring (1,515), despite playing before the 3-point line was instituted. A major contributor to four consecutive Northeastern Athletic Conference (NAC) Championship teams, Armstrong still stands second all-time in steals (291) and 17th all-time in rebounding (530).
Renae Ransdell was part of an era that transformed Golden Knights women's soccer into a national power. She was a three-time Northeast-10 Conference All-League pick (2002, 2003, and 2004) and a three-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-New England selection (2002, 2003, and 2004). The third all-time leading point producer in school annals (103), she stands fifth all-time in goals (38) and fourth all-time in assists (27) having graduated as the school record holder in the latter category. Ransdell, who is currently an assistant coach at Saint Rose, was the lone player up until 2010 to record double digits in both goals and assists in a single season (13g, 11a – 2002). Ransdell furthermore owns two of the top-five single-season point totals in Saint Rose history.
Kelly Starr Daniel is among the most talented all-around players to take the floor for the Golden Knights, whom she led to three NYCAC Championships and three NCAA Tournament berths. An ECAC second-team All-East Region pick as a senior, Starr Daniel was furthermore a two-time NYCAC second-team All-Conference pick and was named to the conference's All-Rookie team as a freshman in 1994. She still stands 10th among the College's all-time leading scorers (1,377), is fifth in assists (350), and sixth in steals (278). Starr is furthermore 12th all-time in FG% (.451), despite playing as a guard, and 3FGM (84), and is fourth all-time in games started (114).
The aforementioned group will be the 41st through 45th inductees into the Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame. The inaugural induction took place in 1985 and another followed in 1986. The next class was enshrined in 1992 followed by subsequent classes in 1994, 2002, and 2003. It was then deemed an annual event in 2007.
