GARDEN CITY, NY – The College of Saint Rose had a tough go of things on its trip to Long Island yesterday as the Golden Knights fell 9-0 at
Northeast-10 Conference leader Adelphi 9-0.
A trio of Saint Rose student-athletes registered game wins on the day. In first flight singles, junior
Jennifer Crego fell to fellow junior Maria Toft 6-2, 6-2. Senior
Erin Reeg was downed by junior Samra Redzematovic 6-2, 6-0 in second flight singles while freshman
Lauren Romine dropped her match to sophomore Gaby Adia 6-0, 6-2 in the third flight contest.
In doubles, Saint Rose had its best showing in the third flight match where freshmen
Alyssa Marie Haddad and
Caitlin Beebe fell to Adia and senior Carolyn Smith 8-3.
The Golden Knights have a short turnaround before their next match as they will take on Merrimack in North Andover, MA Friday. The Panthers are also in action Friday when they will visit Bentley in Waltham, MA. Both matches are scheduled for a noon start.
