www.gogoldenknights.tv this evening when the softball team (5-12/1-5 NE-10) hosts Southern Connecticut State University (9-10/2-4 NE-10) in a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Cathy Cummings Haker Field at the
Christian Plumeri Sports Complex. Game one is set to get underway at 3:00 pm. Chad Cooper will call all the exciting play-by-play action.

Today marks only the second home series for the Golden Knights this spring. Saint Rose previously split its 2011 home-opener versus Pace University last Tuesday.

Jessica Butterbrodt currently leads the Golden Knights with a .380 batting average. She has chalked up 19 hits, 10 RBI, 10 runs and belted four homers as well. Meanwhile, freshman outfielder
Olivia Reeves is on her heels with a .378 average. Reeves paces Saint Rose with 12 RBI on the strength of three home runs and an .838 slug%.
The Owls have dropped four of their last five entering today, although they swept the regular-season series against the Golden Knights a year ago. Sophomore Kristin Whitley has sparked the offense thus far. Whitley is hitting .412 with 28 hits, 20 RBI and 10 runs. Junior Jayme Larson owns seven of the team's nine victories in the circle. She has recorded 37 strikeouts in 68.1 innings of work.
