MANCHESTER, NH – The College of Saint Rose suffered a 6-3 setback in its regular-season finale at Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm today.
After dropping a tough first doubles match, Saint Rose (6-7/6-7 NE-10) claimed its first point of the afternoon in the second doubles flight as the pair of sophomore
Jennifer Crego and senior
Kimberly Schacher defeated senior Lauren DeGugliemo and freshman Katherine Morrissey 8-3.
Later in the first singles flight, Crego earned her second victory of the day by defeating sophomore Alexandra Lawrence 7-5, 6-2. The win improved her record to 10-3 in singles competition on the season.
The Golden Knights picked up their final point of the afternoon in the sixth singles flight where sophomore
Stephanie Wilhelm topped senior Vanessa Centofanti 6-3, 6-0.
The Golden Knights will await the completion of the conference season on Saturday, April 16 to see if they will compete in the eight-team NE-10 Tournament. The conference tournament is slated to get underway on Monday, April 18.
