NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball team capped off its 2011 regular season with a 3-0 (25-12, 26-24, 25-20) triumph in a Northeast-10 Conference match at Merrimack College this afternoon. The Golden Knights, who are unbeaten in their last five outings, will take their winning streak into the postseason for the first time since 2007.
Saint Rose (16-8/11-4 NE-10) recorded a season-high .316 hitting percentage by playing virtually error-free volleyball throughout the afternoon. The Golden Knights committed just nine miscues on attack and got 39 kills to touch in 95 chances. Saint Rose furthermore finished one shy of its season-high with 14 aces.

Sarah Kahrs and sophomore middle hitter
Alex Gagliano paved the way for the Golden Knights. Kahrs led all players with 11 kills, while Gagliano had eight kills in 12 swings without an error (.667) to go along with three blocks.

Katy Daniels and sophomore outside hitter
Christina Strezenec spearheaded the defensive unit. Daniels picked up 13 digs, while Strezenec chalked up eight of her own.
Sophomore outside hitter Jackie Jones and senior outside hitter Nicole Duarte each had solid outings for the Warriors (5-21/2-13 NE-10). Jones registered 10 digs and six kills, while Duarte added six kills, five digs and four aces.
Saint Rose will await its seed in the upcoming NE-10 Tournament that is scheduled to get underway Tuesday. The top-four seeds will host quarterfinal contests, with the winners advancing to Friday's semifinal round.
