NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Host 18th ranked Merrimack scored twice in the opening 15 minutes on the way to a 4-0 victory against The College of Saint Rose this afternoon. The contest marked the Northeast-10 Conference opener for the Warriors (5-0-0/1-0-0 NE-10) who kept their unblemished record intact.
Junior forward and reigning NE-10 Player of the Year Robbie Sabadoz set up the first two strikes and added another one of his own less than a minute prior to halftime to afford Merrimack a 3-0 lead at the break.
Sophomore forward Franklin Pena scored what held up as the game-winner at the 3:26 mark, before junior midfielder Matt McFadden made it 2-0 some 11 minutes later with his first goal of the season. Sophomore forward Olof Lindhe then found the back of the net with 30 minutes remaining in the contest to close out the scoring.

Patrik Ohlsson made eight saves for the Golden Knights (1-3-1/0-3-0 NE-10), including five in the second half, while senior Kevin Joyce turned aside a pair of Saint Rose on-target strikes throughout 71 minutes of action.
Up next, Saint Rose has a 4:30 pm non-conference match at Queens College on Tuesday in Flushing. Meanwhile, the Warriors will welcome NE-10 rival Stonehill on Wednesday for a 7:00 pm date.
