ALBANY– The College of Saint Rose captured one of three doubles matches, but was then defeated in each of the singles flights during an 8-1 loss to visiting Northeast-10 Conference rival Assumption today.

Freshman Jennifer Crego teamed up with junior Kimberly Schacher to take an 8-2 triumph at second doubles versus Assumption junior Grace Fox and sophomore Marissa Charles.

Also, freshman Sarah Klein forced a tiebreaker in the opening set of her sixth singles match with Assumption freshman Allie Plack, but fell 7-3 before dropping the second set 6-4.

Up next, Saint Rose is scheduled to visit NE-10 rival Pace University in Pleasantville at 3:00 pm Tuesday. Meanwhile, Assumption will continue its trek west on the N.Y. State Thruway for a 10:00 am conference match at Le Moyne in Syracuse tomorrow.
