KISSIMMEE, FL – The College of Saint Rose softball team suffered a pair of setbacks during their second day of competition at the Rebel Games this afternoon. The Golden Knights (0-4) left 11 runners on base in an 8-1 loss to Bellarmine, and could not overcome six errors in an 8-7 defeat at the hands of Gannon.

Nicole Traylor doubled to lead the Saint Rose attack against Bellarmine (5-6). Freshman shortstop Megan Murdoch went 2-for-3 with a double to pace Bellarmine.
Later in the afternoon, Saint Rose pushed across six runs on four hits in the fifth to take a 6-4 lead against Gannon (1-3). However, Gannon scored on a wild pitch in the home half of the fifth and then scored three more times in the seventh to go up 8-6. The Golden Knights got one back in the seventh, but eventually wound up stranding two runners in scoring position.
Junior catcher
Nikki Woodard tripled and Anderson belted a two-run double to highlight the Saint Rose fifth. Sophomore first baseman Kelly Trace finished 2-for-3 with a double for Gannon.
The Golden Knights are off tomorrow, before continuing their Florida stay with a pair of games Wednesday. Saint Rose will meet Holy Family at 9:00 am and will then face Georgian Court at 11:00 am.
