RINDGE, NH – The College of Saint Rose swept all three doubles matches and then won three singles competitions en route to a 6-3 victory at Northeast-10 Conference rival Franklin Pierce (0-4/0-4 NE-10) this afternoon.
Sophomores
Jennifer Crego and
Stephanie Wilhelm, and senior
Missy Leighton were victorious in both singles and doubles competition to lead the Golden Knights (3-2/3-2 NE-10).
Crego improved to 5-0 on the year at the top singles flight with a 6-0, 6-0 win against junior Kaitlin Krolikowski. Leighton then battled back from being down a set to upend freshman Natasha McCarthy 5-7, 6-0, 10-6 at #2 singles, while Wilhelm dropped only one game en route to a 6-0, 6-1 triumph against junior Tina Bonelli at #6 singles.

Erin Reeg set the tone by chalking up a 9-7 victory against Krolikowski and McCarthy at the top doubles flight. Crego and senior
Kimberly Schacher defeated junior Drew Alexander and senior Lauren Smilovich 8-3 at the second flight, while Wilhelm and junior
Stephanie Belz cruised 8-0 at the third flight against juniors Suzana Deronjic and Miriama Bonetti.
Up next, Saint Rose is scheduled to visit NE-10 rival Saint Michael's on Friday for a 3:30 pm match in Colchester, VT. Meanwhile, Franklin Pierce has a 2:00 pm league date against visiting Assumption next Saturday.
