GARDEN CITY, NY – The College of Saint Rose recorded its third straight shutout to remain undefeated with a 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference victory at Adelphi University today. Saint Rose has not allowed a goal throughout its last 302 minutes of play.

Deanna Esposito made three saves apiece while splitting each half between the posts. Saint Rose is now 4-0 for the third time in the last four years.

Coco Ebersole at the 4:44 mark. The tally stood up as the game-winner although the Golden Knights generated a 10-4 shot advantage throughout the opening 45 minutes. The shots were four apiece during the second stanza, but Adelphi (3-1/2-1 NE-10) had the more dangerous opportunities throughout the afternoon as six of their attempts were on target, while four were on goal for Saint Rose.
For Adelphi, sophomore keeper Dorothy Connolly made three saves, while junior midfielder Brianne Mcdonnell generated two shots-on-goal.
Saint Rose will play its 2009 home opener this Saturday, September 12 when the Golden Knights host league rival Stonehill. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm at The Albany Academies. Meanwhile, Adelphi has a noon conference match against visiting Saint Michael's Saturday.
