GOLDEN KNIGHTS TAKE THREE MATCHES AT MILLERSVILLE TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED

Sophomore setter Theresa Staulo dished out a collective 86 assists to help the Golden Knights win all three matches at the Dutch Country Spiketacular Saturday.
MILLERSVILLE, PA – The College of Saint Rose won all three of its matches at the Dutch Country Spiketacular that was hosted by Millersville University today. The Golden Knights (5-0) opened the day with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-6, 25-21) sweep of Bowie State. They then took the final two games to upend the host Marauders 3-1 (25-8, 17-25, 25-11, 25-13) and closed it out with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-18) victory against Wilmington.

Sophomore setter Theresa Staulo handed out 26 assists, mostly to sophomore outside hitter Marilyn Glamack and junior middle hitter Kelly Ryan who recorded nine and seven kills respectively in the Bowie State win. In the back, senior libero Mary German came up with 19 digs.

Against Millersville, Staulo had 33 assists and German contributed 16 digs; while sophomore outside hitter Sarah Kahrs and Glamack combined for 16 kills and 21 digs. Kahrs then put away 15 kills, while Staulo and German registered 27 assists and 35 digs respectively as the Golden Knights wrapped up the day in impressive fashion.

Saint Rose returns home Tuesday for a 7:00 pm non-conference match versus Concordia College.
