WALTHAM, MA – Host Bentley University took two of three doubles matches to put itself in the driver's seat as the Falcons (1-0/1-0 NE-10) defeated The College of Saint Rose women's tennis team 7-2 in what amounted to their league and home-opener this afternoon.
Freshman
Jennifer Crego played a part in both wins today for the Golden Knights (0-4/0-3 NE-10). Crego teamed up with junior
Kimberly Schacher to take an 8-5 triumph at second doubles over Bentley senior Rachel Harbert and freshman Rachael Litton.
Crego then went out and chalked up her first collegiate singles victory in the lone three-set match of the day. Crego came out on top of a 6-2, 1-6, 10-2 win against senior Kelly Fleszar at the #1 spot in the lineup.
Up next, Saint Rose will head to Stonehill College Saturday afternoon for a 1:30 pm NE-10 match in Easton, MA. Meanwhile, the Falcons are scheduled to return to the court tomorrow when the Falcons host Brandeis University.
