Box Score OLD WESTBURY, NY – Host NYIT scored a pair of goals in the opening 20 minutes and added another on a penalty kick with three minutes remaining to hand The College of Saint Rose a 3-0 setback this afternoon.

Junior forward Maciek Serafin scored what held up as the game-winner when he one-timed home a cross off the foot of freshman midfielder Felipe Santos at the 14:26 mark. Sophomore forward Farah Toure slipped home an insurance marker from inside the box five minutes later, and then converted a penalty kick to account for the final score.

Sophomore keeper Patrik Ohlsson made four saves in the first half and two more in the second period to lead the Golden Knights (1-2). Senior keeper Cosimo D'Agostino was not called upon to make a save for the Bears (2-1).

Both teams are scheduled to get back on the pitch at 1:00 pm Saturday. Saint Rose will host Saint Michael's for both its Northeast-10 Conference and home opener, while NYIT welcomes Warner University.
