Box Score OLD WESTBURY, NY – Host NYIT scored a pair of goals in the opening 20 minutes and added another on a penalty kick with three minutes remaining to hand The College of Saint Rose a 3-0 setback this afternoon.
Junior forward Maciek Serafin scored what held up as the game-winner when he one-timed home a cross off the foot of freshman midfielder Felipe Santos at the 14:26 mark. Sophomore forward Farah Toure slipped home an insurance marker from inside the box five minutes later, and then converted a penalty kick to account for the final score.

Patrik Ohlsson made four saves in the first half and two more in the second period to lead the Golden Knights (1-2). Senior keeper Cosimo D'Agostino was not called upon to make a save for the Bears (2-1).
Both teams are scheduled to get back on the pitch at 1:00 pm Saturday. Saint Rose will host Saint Michael's for both its Northeast-10 Conference and home opener, while NYIT welcomes Warner University.
