NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The College of Saint Rose women's soccer team scored twice in each half to upend Merrimack College 4-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference match at Warrior Field this afternoon. The Golden Knights (7-0/5-0 NE-10), ranked third in this week's NSCAA/Adidas Division II Poll, are now 7-0 for the second time in four years and remain the only club in the conference yet to sustain a loss.
Sophomore forwards Gianna D'Errico and Nicola D'Errico each finished with a goal and an assist to power the Saint Rose offense. The twins set up one another's tallies, the first coming just 56 seconds into the match when Nicola fed Gianna to get the Golden Knights off and running. Gianna returned the favor 11:02 into the second half.

Derith Fernandes found the back of the net for the second time this season, as did sophomore midfielder
Christina Cuffari. Fernandes wound up causing an own goal at the 34:02 mark, while Cuffari tacked on the fourth and final marker of the contest with more than 30 minutes left.
Junior keeper
Susan Cowan registered her second career shutout by coming up with a season-high 11 saves for the Golden Knights. Cowan turned aside seven shots alone in the second half while playing all 90 minutes between the posts. Merrimack senior keeper Brittany Gustafson suffered her first loss of the year after surrendering two goals in the first half while making three saves.
Saint Rose held a slim 17-15 margin in shots, including a 12-5 edge throughout the first half. The Golden Knights also earned four corner kicks, while the Warriors were awarded two.
Up next, Saint Rose is scheduled to play its final non-conference match of the year Wednesday when the Golden Knights host C.W. Post. Kickoff is set for 4:15 pm at The Albany Academies. Merrimack returns to action at 7:00 pm Tuesday when it hosts Stonehill College in a league contest.
