LAKEWOOD, NJ – The College of Saint Rose completed an unblemished weekend at the Georgian Court University Tournament this afternoon with a 2-0 victory against Holy Family. The Golden Knights (2-0) scored twice in the second half and outshot the Tigers (0-2) 15-3, including 10-0 in the first period. Saint Rose, ranked #4 in the NSCAA/Adidas Division II preseason poll, also registered an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Sophomore forward Nicola D'Errico scored what held up as the game-winner at the 51:17 mark when she converted a feed from junior midfielder Amanda Schweers. Sophomore midfielder Christina Cuffari then set up freshman midfielder/forward Jennifer Mansfield who delivered an insurance marker 21 minutes later.

Sophomore keeper Susan Cowan turned aside two shots in the first half. In the other net, fellow sophomore keeper Gina Mansi made two saves for Holy Family.

Saint Rose will open the Northeast-10 Conference portion of its 2009 schedule next Saturday, September 5, with a noon date at Saint Michael's in Colchester, VT. Meanwhile, the Tigers will visit #25 C.W. Post for a 4:00 pm non-league match Wednesday on Long Island.
