ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose has signed on to help fight cancer by making a charitable contribution to three great causes and handing out pink wrist bands to all those in attendance at Saturday's basketball games versus Saint Anselm.
Saint Rose will donate the proceeds from paid admissions to the contests versus Saint Anselm to the
Susan G. Komen Foundation, the
V Foundation for Cancer Research, and
Camp BraveHearts.
Additionally, the College will match the dollar figure collected at the gate. The total figure will be divided equally among all three of the aforementioned charities with Saint Rose President Dr. R. Mark Sullivan presenting a check at halftime of the men's game to representatives from each organization benefiting from the College's gesture.
General admission to all Saint Rose home basketball dates is five dollars. Tickets go on sale one hour prior to tip-off of the day's first scheduled game. Saturday's women's game is set to begin at 1:30 pm, while the men's contest is slated for a 3:30 pm start.
