WALTHAM, MA – Bentley University used a 21-6 run to close out the first half and The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team was unable to recover as the Falcons cruised to a 93-61 Northeast-10 Conference victory against the Golden Knights at the Dana Center in Waltham, MA. Bentley, which is ranked 19th in the latest NABC/Division II Coaches Poll, won its 13th consecutive game and its eighth in a row against Saint Rose in the last five seasons.

Shea Bromirski, Bentley sophomore guard Mike Quinn ignited the aforementioned outburst with a layup and senior forward Michael Sikonski punctuated things with a dunk off a pass from junior guard Jason Westrol to give the Falcons a 19-point, 44-25, lead at the break.
Bentley did not stop there by scoring seven straight points to open the second period, thus increasing its margin to 23, 48-25. The Falcons, who never trailed in the game, shot a blazing 62.5 percent (20-for-32) from the floor throughout the final 20 minutes en route to a 56.9 shooting percentage in the game. Saint Rose was not far behind after converting 51.6 percent (16-for-31) of its attempts from the floor after halftime, but hit only 12-of-33 attempts in the first period.

Josh Pelletier was the lone Golden Knight in double-figures scoring with 12 points. Junior guard
Jermaine Clark tossed in nine points, while Bromirski and senior forward
Evan Lane added eight points apiece.
The Falcons placed four players in double-digits behind Sikonski's career-high 18 points. Westrol contributed 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, while senior guard Lew Finnegan and sophomore guard Tom Dowling finished with 14 and 16 points respectively.
Both squads will return to league action Wednesday night. Saint Rose will play its final home contest of the regular-season when it welcomes Merrimack College for a 7:30 pm tip-off. “Senior Night” festivities will take place prior to the game. Meanwhile, Bentley heads to Southern Connecticut State University for a 7:30 pm tip in New Haven, CT.
