Senior guard Elizabeth Buckley finished with 12 points and junior guard Lynsey Timbrouck had 10 points and four assists to lead the Golden Knights. Junior forward Amy Voelkel wound up with five points and eight boards.

Saint Rose (3-4/2-4 NE-10) was up six at the break, but Southern Connecticut (6-1/4-1 NE-10) opened the second half with a 16-2 run that transformed a 38-32 deficit into a 48-40 advantage with 13:12 remaining. Five minutes later, senior forward Jacqueline Johannes capped the outburst by finishing a fast break.

Johannes registered a “double-double” with 20 points and 13 rebounds, including seven from the offensive glass, and Lentz had 10 points go with seven assists and five steals to pace Southern Connecticut.
