MANCHESTER, NH – The College of Saint Rose rallied from a 2-0 deficit to upend host Southern New Hampshire 3-2 in a Northeast-10 Conference match tonight. The Golden Knights (14-12/4-8 NE-10) took the third and fourth sets by respective scores of 25-15 and 25-22, before capping off the victory with a 15-13 fifth set triumph. Saint Rose has now won four of its last six matches.

After committing 14 attack errors during the opening two sets that the Penmen took 25-17 and 25-21, the Golden Knights righted the ship by misfiring only 13 times throughout the final three sets.

Sophomore outside hitter Sarah Kahrs recorded an impressive .375 hitting percentage via a season-high 18 kills and only three errors throughout 40 swings to lead the offense. Sophomore middle hitter Chelsea Tyler was also in double-figures with 10 kills to go along with six blocks.

Senior libero Mary German recorded 22 digs out of the back, while sophomore setter Theresa Staulo handed out 45 assists. Saint Rose used an 8-2 spurt to build a 20-13 lead in the third. The Golden Knights then scored the last four points on the strength of three kills by Kahrs to force a fourth set from which they came back from being down 15-13.
