#20 LE MOYNE HANGS ON FOR 3-2 WIN OVER GOLDEN KNIGHTS

Junior forward Justin Little converted two PK's for his fourth and fifth strikes of the year
ALBANY – Le Moyne College sophomore back Eddy Rosenburgh drove home his first strike of the 2009 season from 30-yards out into the lower right corner to hand The College of Saint Rose men's soccer team a 3-2 loss in overtime this afternoon at UAlbany's Varsity Field. It marked the seventh one-goal setback of the year for the Golden Knights, who close out their 2009 slate with a 2-15-1 overall mark and a 1-11-1 league record.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins (14-2-2/10-2-1 NE-10) clinched the second-seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Tournament that is scheduled to get underway Sunday afternoon. Le Moyne, which is ranked #20 in the latest NSCAA/Adidas Division II Poll, will host seventh-seed Saint Anselm College in a quarterfinal contest.

As for today, junior forward Justin Little gave Saint Rose a 1-0 lead 13:15 into the match via a penalty kick. Little was dragged down in the penalty area and calmly buried the try into the upper right corner for the early edge.

The Golden Knights maintained the lead for the next 34 minutes until Rosenburgh set up junior forward Angelo Reina to knot things at 1-1. Rosenburgh slipped a pass through the center that Reina connected on from 15-yards out for his team-leading 14th strike of the year.

Reina was in the mix again just more than 21 minutes later when he found freshman forward Vince Scaravillo alone on the left channel. Scaravillo made the best of his one-on-one opportunity to put the Dolphins on top 2-1.

Le Moyne seemed to have things in control until it was whistled for a hand ball in the penalty box with 4:56 on the clock. Little was again called upon to take the kick, which he put into the upper left corner to make it a 2-2 ballgame. It was Little's fifth marker of the season and third successful penalty kick.

Neither side was able to find the back of the net to close out regulation, which set up Rosenburgh's heroics 5:33 into the first extra session. It also pushed the Dolphins' current win streak to four games while improving to 11-1-1 in their last 13 outings.

Le Moyne finished the afternoon with a 20-7 advantage in shots. The game was also marred by 47 total fouls and six yellow cards. Sophomore keeper Patrik Ohlsson was called upon to stop one shot for Saint Rose, while senior keeper Steve White needed to make two saves for the Dolphins.
