ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball team hit a blazing .333 with a mere seven errors in 75 total attacks en route to a 3-0 (25-10, 25-19, 25-12) Northeast-10 Conference victory against visiting Saint Anselm College tonight at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. In the process, the Golden Knights (11-10/2-6 NE-10) halted a five-match skid and collected their sixth sweep of the year.
Sophomore outside hitter
Sarah Kahrs led a balanced attack for Saint Rose with nine kills. Furthermore, Kahrs collected a .692 hitting percentage after not committing an error in 13 swings. Four other players added at least four kills, including sophomore middle hitter
Chelsea Tyler who wound up with five kills, three aces and a like number of blocks.

Laura Falkowitz led the defense by combining for 25 of the club's 41 digs in the match. Meanwhile, sophomore setter
Theresa Staulo passed out 25 assists, registered three kills and three blocks; and served up a pair of aces.
The Hawks (5-12/1-8 NE-10), who have now dropped six straight, received eight kills from junior middle blocker Stephanie Devlin. Additionally, junior defensive specialist Kelly Rudolph came up with 10 digs.
Saint Rose rolled to a 25-10 opening set triumph on the strength of a .364 hitting percentage. The Golden Knights also earned five of their combined 12 aces in the opening frame and forced Saint Anselm into seven miscues as the Hawks registered only three kills in 23 attempts.
The second set was fairly clean again for Saint Rose as the Golden Knights were credited with 12 kills and made only two errors in 28 total attacks to account for a .357 hitting percentage. Kahrs and senior right side hitter
Jaclyn Griffin led the assault in a 25-12 third set win. The duo finished with three kills apiece and Griffin also contributed a pair of blocks at the net.
Saint Rose wastes no time returning to action. The Golden Knights are back at Nolan Gymnasium at tomorrow when Saint Michael's College arrives in Albany for a 1:00 pm NE-10 match. The Hawks continue their westward swing tomorrow when they head to Syracuse for a noon league match at Le Moyne College.
