EASTON, MA – The College of Saint Rose ran its win streak to three matches with a 3-1 victory at Northeast-10 Conference rival Stonehill College tonight. The Golden Knights (8-5/2-0 NE-10) rallied from a 25-22 defeat in the first set, to take the next three sets by respective scores of 25-14, 28-26, 25-19.
Freshman outside hitter
Marilyn Glamack recorded an impressive .300 hitting percentage behind 17 kills against five attack errors in 40 attempts to lead the Golden Knights (7-3/2-0 NE-10). Sophomore
Rachel Baxter contributed 12 kills and freshman setter
Theresa Staulo distributed 38 assists while quarterbacking the offense.
In the back, junior libero
Mary German came up with a match high 18 digs to lead the Saint Rose defensive effort.
Freshman outside hitter Lauren Huselton and senior outside hitter Katherine Masson combined for 21 kills and 18 digs to pace the Skyhawks (8-5/0-2 NE-10).
Both teams return to NE-10 action tomorrow. The Golden Knights have a 1:00 pm at date New Haven, while the Skyhawks host Le Moyne at 12:30 pm.
