RINDGE, NH – Defending national champion Franklin Pierce University scored four unanswered goals in the second half en route to a 5-1 victory against The College of Saint Rose this evening. In the process, the Ravens (3-4/2-0 NE-10) extended their Northeast-10 Conference regular-season unbeaten stretch to 17 matches.

Liam Barrett accounted for the Saint Rose (1-5/0-3 NE-10) tally when he converted a penalty kick in the 29th minute. Freshman forward Viktor Goncalvesand senior midfielder Frantz Francois had two goals apiece to lead the Ravens.
Franklin Pierce outshot the Golden Knights 13-7, although that mark stood at 6-6 following the initial 45 minutes. Saint Rose also generated four corner kicks, one more than Franklin Pierce.
Goncalves finished off a shot from the six-yard box in the 18th minute to make it 1-0 Franklin Pierce. Fifteen minutes into the second half, Francois finished off a breakaway for what held up as the game-winner.
Both teams return to the pitch on Saturday. The Golden Knights will host league rival Bentley at 1:00 pm, while the Ravens will host Southern Connecticut State for a 7:00 pm NE-10 date.
