COLCHESTER, VT – The College of Saint Rose suffered its fourth five-set loss of the year with a 3-2 setback at Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Michael's this afternoon. The match was decided by a total of five points.
The Golden Knights (12-8/5-5 NE-10) rallied with wins in both the third and fourth sets to tie the match at two apiece. However, the host Purple Knights (11-11/2-8 NE-10) scored the final four points of the last set after the Golden Knights had rallied from a 10-8 deficit to deadlock it at 11-11.
Saint Michael's got out to a 2-0 start with a 25-13 victory in the opener and a 25-23 win in the second set. Saint Rose cut its deficit in half with a 25-18 triumph in the third, before taking the fourth-set 25-22.

Marilyn Glamack paced the Golden Knights with 17 kills and 12 digs. Junior libero

Lisa Geonnotti had 15 and 12 digs respectively; while freshman setter
Theresa Staulo had another solid all-around effort with 36 assists, seven kills, five digs and four blocks.
Sophomore middle hitter Lindsey Frazier led five Saint Michael's players in double-figure kills with 13. Frazier wound up hitting .409 with only four errors throughout 22 swings. She also contributed five blocks. Meanwhile, sophomore setter Amy Manougian handed out 43 assists and came up with nine digs.
Saint Rose returns home Wednesday for a 7:00 pm conference match versus upstate rival Le Moyne. Saint Michael's will host NE-10 foe Southern New Hampshire next Saturday at 1:00 pm.
