Biography

GENERAL: Is part of three relay school records (200 and 400; 400 medley relay)…Local product that will again compete in the freestyle sprints and butterfly…Works as a lifeguard and swimming instructor…Would like to become a kindergarten teacher following her college career…Said her family has had a great deal of influence on her throughout her lifetime.

AS A JUNIOR: Participated in five individual events on the season…Came home with 12 top-five finishes…Won the 100 free twice, at Queens (1/13/10) and against Skidmore (1/24/10) with times of 58.43 and 57.49 respectively…Swam a season best 25.88 in the 50 free in a preliminary heat at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships (2/7/10)…Swam second in the 200 free relay at the Metro Championships (2/20/10) where the Golden Knights set a school record with a time of 1:39.99…Capped her season by swimming the anchor leg of the 200 medley relay at the Metro Championships, where another Saint Rose record fell as the squad came across in 1:49.94.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the NE-10 All-Academic Team (6/25/09) in honor of athletic and academic achievement…Also earned a spot on the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll…Part of four school record setting relay squads that were established at the Metropolitan Conference Championships (2/20/09)…Anchored the 800 free relay (8:07.40) and the 400 medley relay (4:03.44)…Also swam the second and third leg on the 200 free relay (1:41.00) and the 400 free relay (3:44.67)…Contributed four first place performances throughout the year…Recorded a personal-best 50 free time of 25.10 in a preliminary heat at Metros…Accomplished the same feat with a preliminary swim of 54.95 in the 100 free…Wound up fourth in the 100 free at the NE-10 Championships (12/5/08) after hitting the wall in 25.72…Established another PR in the 100 butterfly behind a 1:01.40 clocking at Metros.

AS A FRESHMAN: Swam the anchor leg on the 400 and 800 free relay squads that established school records at Metros (2/23/08) with respective times of 3:47.44 and 8:09.39…Also held down the same position on the school record setting 200 medley relay team that hit the wall in 1:55.76 at Metros…Registered a pair of season-best times in the 50 and 100 free at the NE-10 Championships (12/2/07) after hitting the wall in 26.41 and 56.70.

HIGH SCHOOL: Part of the school record in the 200 medley relay…Four-year qualifier for sectionals…Also made an appearance at the New York State meet…Two-time winner of the Coaches Award…Member of the Principal’s List all four years of high school…Also selected to the National Honor Society.
