Ryan Papparella is in his second season as an assistant coach at The College of Saint Rose.
Papparella has nearly 10 years of experience coaching youth programs throughout the Utica area where has worked with children ages 8-15 to prepare them for their high school and college careers. He also worked for a year in the Capital Region with the “518 Lacrosse” program, which allowed him to familiarize himself with area players who were aiming to improve their performance and expand their knowledge of the game.
A former two time captain and three-year starting midfielder at SUNY Potsdam, Papparella led the 2011 Bears squad to an historic season when they hosted their first-ever home playoff game while making their inaugural appearance in the SUNYAC Tournament.
Prior to that, Papparella was a three-year starter for Whitesboro High School where was named a first-team All-League honoree as a senior. He was the squad’s leading goal that year.
