Connor Russell joined The College of Saint Rose men's lacrosse coaching staff in 2020. He came to The College after serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the University at Albany, his alma mater, in 2019. While coaching at UAlbany, he was responsible for developing strategies for the team’s face-off men and face-off unit.
Russell played three seasons for the Great Danes, before becoming a student-assistant for his senior season due to injury. The team won three America East Championships and made four NCAA appearances during his time as an undergrad.
The Penfield, N.Y. native graduated from SUNY Albany in 2017 with a degree in Sociology and then spent a season as Associate Head Coach at SUNY Geneseo.
Since graduation, he also has coached the Penfield modified team, the Blaze Lacrosse Club, and Top Dog Lacrosse.
