ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose softball team swept Northeast-10 Conference rival American International today behind scores of 6-2 and 6-5. 
Madison Chandler went 2-for-2 with two doubles and a sacrifice fly to total four RBI for the Golden Knights in game one. 
Ellen Fuda matched Chandler with two hits as well. She also tallied three steals in the opener.
Chandler provided two run-scoring doubles in the game one victory. She plated Fuda and 
Maddy Bland with a double in the first inning before driving home Bland with another two-bagger in the third.
Bland also provided an RBI in the bottom the third for the Saint Rose, as her single scored 
Kelsey Higgins. 
AIC got two runs back in the fourth to cut the Saint Roe advantage to 4-2, however the Golden Knights scored two more times in the fifth to put the game away. A Higgins double to left field scored Fuda, which was followed by a Chandler fly out that allowed Higgins to touch home.
Saint Rose right-hander Adian Sheerhan struck out five in a complete game win in the opener.
Game two between the two squads stayed tight until a game-winning two-run double by Higgins in the bottom of the seventh allowed the Golden Knights to secure the 6-5 win.
After the Yellow Jackets broke a 4-4 deadlock to go ahead 5-4 in top of the seventh, Higgins drove in 
Katelyn Baker and Cianna Phillips to give Saint Rose the walk-off win.
The Golden Knights had done all their scoring in the fourth inning prior to the seventh-inning rally. Cianna Phillips knocked in two runs with a double, while Fuda and Baker each recorded RBI in the big four-run inning.
Next up, the Golden Knights head to Colchester, VT to face Saint Michael's in a Saturday doubleheader.
