NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The College of Saint Rose split its first Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader of the spring today at Southern Connecticut State. The Golden Knights fell 4-0 in game one before edging the Owls 4-1 in the day's second game.
After the Saint Rose lineup was stymied over the first 11 innings of the afternoon, the Golden Knights exploded for three runs in the fifth inning to take control of game two.

Ciana Phillips provided Saint Rose with RBI singles in the game-changing rally.
After recording a double in the big fifth-inning,
Maddy Bland closed out a 2-for-3 effort at the plate with an insurance double in the sixth that plated
Kelsey Higgins.
The Golden Knights will stay in Connecticut to face New Haven tomorrow, with the twin bill set to begin at 12:00 pm.
