GOLDEN KNIGHTS OVERPOWERED BY #12 SAINT ANSELM

ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's lacrosse team lost 19-8 to #12 Saint Anselm in Northeast-10 Conference play today at Sullivan Field.

Cam Smith and Jack Rice netted a pair of goals each for the Golden Knights. Noah Gibson, Aiden Blouin, Alex Johanson, and Danny Bezrutchenko all tallied one score apiece as well.

Rice had one assist and Blouin had two helpers to equal a team-high total of five points. Gibson and Greg Walsh also provide assists.

The two teams traded goals to start the first quarter action, but the Hawks would post eight of the final ten scores of the half to build a 9-3 lead.

Rice struck first to get the Golden Knights on the board to start the second half, however five consecutive goals by Saint Anselm would push the visitors advantage to double-digits. The Hawks generated 26 more shots than Saint Rose.

The Golden Knights will look to regroup at Southern New Hampshire on Friday.
