COLCHESTER, VT- The College of Saint Rose women's basketball shot a season-best 56.1 percent (32-of-57) to earn a 76-35 Northeast-10 Conference victory at Saint Michael's this evening. The 32 field goals netted by the Golden Knights also marked their highest mark of the season as well.
Junior forward
Maddisyn Mahoney finished 12-of-14 from the floor to tally a season-high 25 points for the Golden Knights. Sophomore Peyton Graber and junior guard
Syrita Faraj registered 16 and 15 points, respectively, to lead the offense. Mahoney, Graber, and Faraj also pulled down five rebounds each as well.
Sophomore forward
Aniya McDonald-Perry had six points and six assists, while freshman
Ariana Kupi led all players with seven rebounds. Junior guard
Catherine Finnerty also provided four rebounds and three assists.
The Golden Knights held Saint Michael's to 12-of-52 (23.1 percent) from the field, in addition to outscoring the Purple Knights 36-8 in the paint in the 41-point win. The third quarter was where Saint Rose sealed the deal, as the Golden Knights owned 27 of the 30 points scored in the frame.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns to Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium for a 1:30 pm date with American International on Saturday.
