ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose women's basketball team suffered a 65-46 setback today against Bentley in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium, marking the first home loss for the Golden Knights this season.
The visiting Falcons, who sit #17 in the most recent WBCA national rankings, scored 20 of the final 25 points of the second quarter and led by 12 at halftime. Bentley would maintain a double-digit advantage throughout the third and fourth quarters.
Sophomore forward
Aniya McDonald-Perry registered her third double-double in the last five contests with a 13-point, 12-rebound effort. Junior guard
Syrita Faraj matched McDonald-Perry with 13 points.
Juniors
Catherine Finnerty and
Maddisyn Mahoney had six points apiece, while sophomores
Kaelah Carter and
Payton Graber each netted four.
The Golden Knights will look to regroup at 5:30 pm at home on Wednesday versus Adelphi.
